Wednesday Vignette

This very autumnal view, which I'm sharing for Wednesday Vignette, is from the garden of Vanessa Gardner Nagel, who hosted the recent Portland Garden Bloggers Plant Swap. I was fortunately feeling well enough to make the trip down to Portland for it. I'd heard wonderful things about Vanessa's garden, and it did not disappoint! The sun glowed through the leaves of this redbud.

It was wonderful to see garden blogger friends again (for the first time this year), and I came home with free plants! We even stayed overnight at a local hotel, and I shopped for more plants at both Cistus and Joy Creek Nursery. I ran out of room in the car. If I had picked up even one more plant I would have had to leave our suitcase behind.

Anna at Flutter & Hum hosts Wednesday Vignette. Check out her post here.

Gardening is a solitary activity. But blogging about it is a social phenomenon! I don't make money from my blog by advertising, or use it to drive customers to a business. If you liked my post, or my writing or photography, or even just one picture or turn of phrase, I'd love to hear from you. That's how I get paid.
