Wednesday Vignette

For today's Wednesday Vignette, I'm sharing another shot from my visit a few weeks ago to the Bellevue Botanical Garden. I was captivated by the bright red berries on this shrub, but had no clue what it was until Loree at the Plant Lust blog posted about all the great and useful attributes of Aucuba japonica longifolia (you can read her post here).

Isn't it fabulous?

Anna at Flutter and Hum hosts Wednesday Vignette, a great blogging meme for orphan photos. You can read her current post here.

  1. Nice shot! I tend to dismiss all acubas since we inherited some growing on the hot, sunny, and dry side of the house where the new growth turns black in the summer. Grown in better conditions, they are beautiful shrubs!

Gardening is a solitary activity. But blogging about it is a social phenomenon! I don't make money from my blog by advertising, or use it to drive customers to a business. If you liked my post, or my writing or photography, or even just one picture or turn of phrase, I'd love to hear from you. That's how I get paid.
