Brugmansia's Last Hurrah

My 'Charles Grimaldi' Brugmansia is putting out one last flush of blooms, just in time. Some day soon I'm going to have to cart them all into the garage for the winter.

I love the pigtail curlicue on the tips of the flowers

  1. Are yours in pots? Mine was not at all happy this year. He either needs a bigger pot, or summers in the ground.

  2. 'Charles Grimaldi'is a wonderful Brugmansia with the very long trumpets and the pigtail curlicues. We used to have a lot of various Brugmansias in big tubs, but as we wanted to slow down the number of pots to bring into the greenhouse in winter and we don't want to heat our greenhouse more than our home anymore, we sold them to Brugmansia lovers. I suppose you have a heated greenhouse....

  5. No brugs here, but I do so admire them in other people's gardens. I have no place to overwinter them here. You have a beautiful plant there, Alison!

  7. Sweet! I dragged mine inside before it was necessary, especially since this fall has been so warm.
