December Photo Project 2012 -- Day Seven

I actually took this photo a couple of days ago, in the rain. She's still out there, a classic beauty hanging on for dear life. She's not even mine, she belongs to a neighbor. I don't grow roses, they are such divas. There's only room for one diva in my garden, and that's me.

  1. It's interesting how many roses are still blooming. I finally cut back a lot of mine this morning. But you're no diva, Alison. No one who does as much gardening as you can be!

  2. LOL. I don't know why I put up with my divas. Oh, right, they are beautiful and they smell wonderful. This weekend is devoted to defoliating them to force them into dormancy before we get a hard freeze. (My rose bushes are actually more like strung-out-on-sugar toddlers. I can't get them to go to sleep)

  3. Diva or not, she's beautiful! (The rose ain't bad either.)

  4. I love that we can see the occasional rose bloom into December. I would definitely not consider you a diva :)

  5. Sometimes, tears make a woman, i.e. a rose, even more beautiful.

  6. Divas can get away with bad behavior because they are so beautiful...and sing!

  7. Raindrops on roses ...alalalala. Beautiful rose. I have some, but don't pamper them at all!!

Gardening is a solitary activity. But blogging about it is a social phenomenon! I don't make money from my blog by advertising, or use it to drive customers to a business. If you liked my post, or my writing or photography, or even just one picture or turn of phrase, I'd love to hear from you. That's how I get paid.
