Wednesday Vignette

If It Wisnae Fur Yer Wellies....

For my Wednesday Vignette this week I'm sharing a photo I took of teeny tiny Welly boots on sale at Ravenna Gardens. I almost bought a pair of these little four or five-inch tall boots, wouldn't they make the most adorable little pots for some tiny succulents?

For those who might be unfamiliar, "If It Wisnae Fur Yer Wellies" is the name of a song that Scottish comedian Billy Connelly used to sing. Here it is, just in case you're interested.

  2. I've seen ceramic wellies used as planters before on UK sites. They're very cute. I think you should go back for a pair!

  3. Very cute! I bet you could use any old wellies - even your own. That's all mine are good for at this point - I have worn holes in them! Time to go shopping for new ones, I guess...

  5. Wow, this is a very long Billy Connelly! I remember him fondly from the movie Mrs. Brown, with Judi Dench (highly recommended).

Gardening is a solitary activity. But blogging about it is a social phenomenon! I don't make money from my blog by advertising, or use it to drive customers to a business. If you liked my post, or my writing or photography, or even just one picture or turn of phrase, I'd love to hear from you. That's how I get paid.
