Six Years of Blogging

As of today, I've been blogging at Bonney Lassie for 6 years! It's kind of embarrassing to go back and read those early posts, before I knew anyone in the blogging universe. I've made many great friends through blogging, some that I've met in person and some that I've only met online. I've learned so much about gardening in general, and gardening in the PNW in specific. Deciding to start a blog was one of the smartest things I've done. I've become a better photographer as well as a better gardener, and it has been a very satisfying outlet for my creativity and my writing, and for my quirky and often juvenile sense of humor. It's been fun!

Me and a friend

To everyone who has befriended me through blogging -- Thank you!

  6. You summed it all up so concisely: "I've become a better photographer as well as a better gardener, and it has been a very satisfying outlet for my creativity and my writing" that's exactly how I feel! Glad to know you my fellow blogger.

  9. Congratulations on your 6th Blogiversary! Your companion has a sunglasses hat as in the movies I just watched, Aloha, cool in that when you are wearing it, no one can see your eyes.

  21. Wow, six years is a long time to be blogging! Congratulations on your anniversary. Blogging, as you said, has many benefits and one of my favorites is having met so many keen gardeners! It makes my heart sing that we found each other through this hobby and continue to be friends! Who's the cutie? Is he just a friend or a euphemism "friend." I met him briefly at the Portland Fling. Kind of the strong silent type. Should Nigel be Jealous?

Gardening is a solitary activity. But blogging about it is a social phenomenon! I don't make money from my blog by advertising, or use it to drive customers to a business. If you liked my post, or my writing or photography, or even just one picture or turn of phrase, I'd love to hear from you. That's how I get paid.
