Don't be fooled. Inside this thin coating of sweetness is a fiery core of total insanity.

One of These Things is Not Like the Others...

One of these things just doesn't belong....Actually, wait, they both belong, in my garden at least.

Black-eyed Susan and California Poppy -- So bright and cheerful, and both natives!

  1. Love them both...and they make a great pair!

  2. The California Poppy would be unusual in my garden this time of year. They bloom spring here and are gone this time of year except for an occasional brave plant that hangs on but doesn't usually bloom.

Luv them California Poppies! They adapt well to being southerners.

  3. Well, one is in the daisy family and one is in the poppy family, but they are both blooming now, and yellow is such a cheery color. Pretty.

  4. That's a nice combination, I should try some California poppies with my Rudbeckia.

  5. So lucky to have the native CA poppies

Gardening is a solitary activity. But blogging about it is a social phenomenon! I don't make money from my blog by advertising, or use it to drive customers to a business. If you liked my post, or my writing or photography, or even just one picture or turn of phrase, I'd love to hear from you. That's how I get paid.
