I went out into the garden this morning with my camera, not hoping for much, and actually managed to find quite a few flowers to show for Bloom Day. Not big swaths of flowers, but a few pretties. If I can remember variety names, I'll post that. But for the most part, it would mean either hunting through my bag o' tags, or pulling them up from the ground (which would mean trying to get them back into the ground, which ain't easy in my parched, rocky soil). If you see something you just have to know the name of, let me know and I'll hunt it down.
Onward!

Dahlia 'Black Beauty' |
And a few other NOID Dahlias:
'Little Joe' Joe-Pye weed (which is taller than me) |
Dark-leaved Cimicifuga in front of 'Chocolate' Joe-Pye |

Abelia grandiflora 'Kaleidoscope' |

The duo of Lemon Verbena and Bronze Fennel, backed up by a big hair band (Stipa tenuissimia) |
Caryopteris clandonensis |
I just love the pretty tasselly bracts of ornamental Oregano. I have two, I think. One is Origanum libanoticum and the other is 'Barbara Tingey.' Don't ask me which is which.

Ornamental Oregano |

Another ornamental Oregano, slightly different |
Coreopsis in the gravel garden |

Salvia greggii |
Salvia 'Hot Lips' minus her lipstick |
One short, confused poppy and Pennisetum 'Karley Rose' |
Aster |

Geranium 'Rozanne' mostly. There are at least three other hardy Geraniums in there with her, but I think all the flowers are hers. |
Lobelia tupa is close to open, maybe a couple more days |
And, let's see what's flowering in my "To Be Planted" pile.
Salvia patens |
Hardy Begonia |
Roscoea |
Japanese Anemone, probably 'September Charm' backed up by Hosta 'Sum and Substsance' |
