Don't be fooled. Inside this thin coating of sweetness is a fiery core of total insanity.

Wednesday Vignette

I have a small cluster of marginally hardy potted plants sitting outside the greenhouse door. I've been trying to make up my mind whether I really want to bring them in for the winter, so they sit just outside the door like people waiting for a ride at Disneyland. I suppose if I'm feeling merciful (or energetic), I'll run out when we get a freeze warning and haul them in.

Alstroemeria 'Rock and Roll' with Canna 'Tropicanna'

Both of these might survive in the ground in a mild winter, but probably won't do that well if left in pots, in the cold, winter wet.
