December Photo Project 2012 -- Day Fifteen

Today about lunchtime, Nigel and I decided to brave the monsoon-like rains and go for an hour's drive to Molbak's. Molbak's is a large nursery, one of the largest and nicest in western Washington, north of us in Woodinville. While Nigel waited across the street at Panera with a cup of coffee, I traipsed around the store looking for things to photograph. The place was packed! It was really hard to get a good photo without people in it, especially children.

They do still have some plants in their outdoor area, but they are also selling Christmas trees and other Christmas greenery. And inside, whoa! Lots and lots and lots of Christmas ornaments and decorations. The December Photo Project only runs until Christmas, December 25, so in a way it's a kind of advent calendar. But I've only used one Christmasy photo so far, the poinsettias on my very first day. So I thought maybe I'd use a Christmasy photo today. But not more poinsettias. I did get a nice photo of a row of ornaments, but I'm not using that one either.

The store had a large display of pure white, stuffed, almost full-size reindeer. I've never seen anything like it. The little ones were fascinated with them. Me too.
